Balls

Sunday, December 17th, 2006

Volleyball, football, basketball, handball, baseball… I wonder how many sport names ending in “ball” are there? Why are people so fascinated at balls? And I haven’t even mentioned all those sports which require the usage of balls but don’t have that word as part of their names.

No, I don’t have anything against balls. Actually I think they look quite nice. I was just wondering anyway.

Giant ants

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

Last night I dreamt of giant ants. I’d spend all my time watching them while they passed by. Differently from what happens in several movies, those animals were inoffensive and didn’t try to attack anyone. Their size was scaring, but staring at them was a quite relaxing experience. I almost fell asleep during my dream… although in real life I was already sleeping.

Lost quiz results

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

Some minutes ago I took three hilarious quizzes and I was about to post their respective results here. I’ve copied and pasted their codes on a text file, and then I’d copy and paste them all here. Much to my annoyance, my computer froze and I had to restart it. When I could log on the internet again, I tried to visit the quizzes’ page, but… it wasn’t there anymore! Well, I won’t go on bothering myself. I’ll just forget about it.

Evil soundtrack

Wednesday, October 11th, 2006

My father is currently addicted to a certain online game. Well, I wouldn’t have anything to do with that… wasn’t it for the fact that the game’s soundtrack is too repetitive and is driving me crazy. I can’t stand it anymore. I often catch myself “hearing” that song on my mind, even when dad isn’t playing that game.

By the way…

Thursday, September 14th, 2006

My previous post’s been motivated by the fact that my birthday was approaching then. No, I haven’t turned 35 (yet). And I don’t have (much) grey hair (for the time being). And to tell you the truth, my older version is the one who often asks questions to the younger one concerning the latter’s attitudes.

Quotes of the month

Saturday, September 9th, 2006

“Inside every older person is a younger person – wondering what the hell happened.” – Cora Harvey Armstrong

“Let us respect gray hairs, especially our own.” – J. P. Sears

“Thirty-five is when you finally get your head together and your body starts falling apart.” – Caryn Leschen

Corrections

Monday, August 28th, 2006

I confess I’m a little obsessed over spelling. Of course I do make many mistakes, and a lot of them certainly pass unnoticed by me. But whenever I spot them, I immediately take action and edit my posts. Even if they contain just a really small spelling mistake.

Unlucky month

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006

Many people in my country claim that August is generally an unlucky month. They mention several unfortunate historical events to support their theory. I’d like to know whether people from other countries believe it or not. Maybe I’ll do a research on it someday.

Friends Day

Thursday, July 20th, 2006

Today we celebrate Friends Day in my country. I don’t know about other places around the world. I vaguely recall having heard of another Friends Day, which was celebrated in a different date. But I’m not totally sure about it. I may be just confused.

July, July, July

Friday, July 14th, 2006

I don’t know why, but it’s a fact: I currently have Billy Paul’s song “July, July, July” stuck on my mind. One might say it’s due to the fact that the song’s title refers to the current month, but that would be a quite simplistic explanation. Now, off to search for the lyrics.
