Well, well
September 28th, 2005“Well” is a word that I often use in the beginning of my sentences. It’s an addiction of mine. I don’t know whether it looks fine or not for English readers, but I can say that it’s largely used in my country (in its Portuguese version, of course). Sometimes I think I should control myself and cut some “wells” out of my sentences, but… well… it’s so hard. (And this attempt of a joke was so lame.)
